Experiments have been conducted on the various grooving condition such as spindle revolution speed, infeed rates and depth of groove with a blade designed according to the shape of groove. And acoustic emission (AE) sensor was examined by the in-process monitoring of groove machining. As a result, this study represented optimized grooving condition and possibility of application of AE technique in groove machining.
